Bridal Shower Food : Shortbread
Ingredients
- 7oz of all-purpose flour 2 cups
- 4oz of room temperature butter
- or soft margarine
2oz of superfine sugar
Procedure
Beat together the sugar and the butter/margarine. Next add the
flour and slowly mix all together. Now roll out the mixture, to
about two eighths of an inch thick making sure you have lightly
dusted your surface and rolling pin with superfine sugar first,
or the mixture may stick, then cut out the biscuits with a cookie
cutter; and arrange your shortbread on a baking sheet.
Before putting in the oven, sprinkle the shortbread with some superfine
sugar and then bake for approximately 35 minutes at 300°F (150°C).
or until a light golden color.
Alternatively you can press the shortbread mixture into a round
shallow tin, mark into wedge shaped pieces and bake as above although
