Salami Puffs Sandwiches
Bridal shower is informal and fun filled party wherein you shower the bride with love, gifts, and her favorite food. When we say informal, it should reflect an informal tone in the way you celebrate, food, games, and all other aspects of a bridal shower. You could even serve home cooked food to your guests provided the number of guests is less. They are easy to make and most people love to eat them at any given point in time. Salami puffs sandwiches serve as a good option in a huge variety of sandwiches you could arrange.
Salami is basically a mixture of various meats like pork, beef, mutton, etc. Portions of various meats are cleaned, mixed, chopped and refrigerated. It is readily available in most stores. You can use this in sandwiches in combination with veggies, cheese, etc. Here are some recipes of salami puffs sandwiches-
Salami Puff Sandwiches-
Ingredients
- puffed pastry
- Parmesan cheese
- 6 ounces salami
- 2 Red bell peppers
- 1 cup lettuce leaves
- Dijon mustard
Method
- Preheat the oven to 375 degrees. Cut the puffed pastry into circular pieces.
- Place it on a greased baking sheet. Sprinkle some parmesan and bake for about 18 minutes.
- Chop the salami into thin slices. Chop the red bell peppers and roast then directly.
- Chop the lettuce leaves finely. Split the baked puff in between evenly. Apply a layer of Dijon mustard on both the halves.
- Fill some parmesan cheese in between. Add a layer of salami. Add the bell peppers and lettuce leaves. Cover the top part of the baked puff on these layers. Your salami puffs sandwich is ready to it.
Salami Dill Cream Sandwich
Ingredients for dill cream
- Tomatoes
- Onions
- Dill leaves
- Soft cream cheese
- Salt
- Pepper
- Red wine vinegar
Method to make fresh dill cream with cheese
Finely chop the tomatoes, onions and dill leaves. Add the soft cream cheese to these. The cream cheese should be at room temperature. Mix these well in a bowl. Add very little red wine vinegar to this mixture. Add the salt and pepper. You can add some sugar if you want. Mix all these ingredients well. This forms the dill cream. This would be the base for dill cream sandwich.

- Thinly sliced salami
- Thinly sliced tomatoes
- Dill cream
- Salt
- Pepper
Method
Preheat the oven at 450 degrees. Divide each of your puff pastry sheets into two halves and place them on greased baking sheets. Bake them for about 10 minutes until they get a golden color on the top. Let them cool a bit. Add a layer of dill cream cheese on the bottom puffed pastry. Add the salami pieces.
Add slices of tomatoes. Sprinkle some salt and pepper.
Your salami dill cream sandwiches are ready.
Salami lettuce cream puffs sandwich
Ingredients
- Thinly sliced salami
- Finely chopped lettuce leaves
- Swiss cheese
- Chopped black olives
- Couple of garlic cloves
- Salad oil
- Wine vinegar
- Puff pastry
Method
Bake the puff pastries for about 10 minutes at 400 degrees till they turn golden. You need to make the filling first. Take a bowl and add the cheese, lettuce leaves, salad oil, crushed garlic cloves, and a little bit of wine vinegar. Blend all this well. This forms the spread of the puff sandwich.
Once the baked puffs are cooled, apply a layer of this freshly made spread on one part of the puff pastry generously. Add a layer of salami and olives. Top it with the other part of the puff. Your salami lettuce cream puff sandwich is ready.
You can make your own variations in these sandwiches. Although there are many recipes available online and in books, you can always invent a recipe on your own. Instead of cream cheese, you could opt for mayonnaise. Instead of sill you could opt for lettuce, etc. There are many options available. The choice of fillings and toppings should ideally depend on the bride.
