Bridal shower is the time to enjoy, have fun and spend some quality time with the bride (and groom if it is a couple party). Usually, bridal shower has five parts: funny bridal shower games, time to mingle, food, gift giving occasion and favor giving occasion. If you are planning to throw a bridal shower for your sister, sister-in-law, friend, or a cousin, then you must remember that planning has a dominating effect in a perfect bridal shower party. You must keep this game for the entire length of the bridal shower party. You must buy some gifts for this game. These gifts could be very simple, does not requires much money to be spend. These gifts should be different from bridal shower favors. If you have invited 20 persons for the bridal shower, then you must buy 5-7 gifts (packed in boxes). When the guests arrive at the party, you give one gift to every third or fourth person. Tell them not to open these gifts until you tell them to do so. The foremost important rule of this game is everyone is not allowed to keep their legs crossed.
If anyone caught you crossed legs will take your gift as punishment.
This game will continue till the end of the party and the winner/s will be declared at that time only (with maximum gifts). So, everyone has to keep observing, the other who keeps their legs crossed and should be alert that you are not keeping your legs crossed unknowingly yourself.

After explaining all the rules to your guests, you can start your bridal shower party. In between you can play other games through which your guests come to know each other and mingle around. You can select 3-4 games other than this game. Make sure you will choose some simple games. These games must take around 15-20 minutes each, not more than that. Do not choose any game, which requires more than half an hour. Try to organize games that have different themes like purse treasure hunt, purse pounds, power pop, making memories, safety pin, or bridal dress patterns. Do not go for games like observation and fancy cloth pins as they are similar to the crossed out game.

After these are games over, you can serve food to your guests. Let them relax and enjoy their food. Do not remind them about this game and let them remember it throughout the bridal shower. If they forget about it, let them to do so, if your party is very causal. This means, they are enjoying your bridal shower thoroughly. You can surprise them by reminding about this game at the end of bridal shower and then declare the winner/s. If you want to bring some crisp in your party, then you can remind them about the crossed out game, when you saw your guests have forgotten about it. This alert will make them more active in the game and enjoy it thoroughly.

You can declare the winner/s 10-15 minutes before the bridal shower ends. After declaring the winner/s you can tell them to open the gifts and see what they got. Everybody can cheer for the winner and his or her efforts that he or she took throughout the bridal shower party to catch those crossed legged. Everyone must cheer for his or her capacity to observe and be alert. Actually, it is admirable. If the winner wishes to share his or her gifts with other participants (as all gifts are same); let him or her to do so. Tell the winner to give preference to those persons, who are runner up for the game.
