Bridal shower games are ice breaking and very helpful to initiate communication between guests, especially when the guests are not known each other and are meeting for the first time at your bridal shower party.

• Preparation In power pop game, you need only pen, some paper strips and balloons (according to the number of guests).

How to play power pop game

Steps:-

1. You have to write on these paper strips that "No prize for you", "Nothing for you", "You will get nothing", "Try again" and on one chit you must write the name of the bride.

2. Now you have to put one strip in one balloon, thus each balloon has one strip.

3. Now, give one balloon to each guest.

4. Now, the guests have to use some methods to pop into the balloon they get.

5. The winner would be the one who gets the balloon which has the strip of bride’s name.

If you are finding it difficult to put the strip on the balloons, you can use other methods mentioned below.

1. Instead of balloons, you could use small boxes and put one strip in each box. Now, give one box to each of your guests and the winner will be the one who get the strip of bride’s name in the box.

2. The other way is, you can use one large box, put all strips in it, shuffle it and then go to all your guests one by one and tell them to pick up any one strip. This would be easier than other two methods.

3. You can use your imagination to write on strips instead of writing "you will get nothing", or "no prize for you". Because this type of messages look negative. Instead of that you can write some flower names, vegetables or fruits name or persons name or movie names. But make sure that you will write bride’s name on one strip, to find out the winner.

4. If you have invited couples for the bridal shower party, then you could make two groups of participants, one of all men and second is of all women. Now, you must find two winners and for that you can write groom’s name on one strip.

You should honor the winner/s with some gift like scented soap, aromatic candle, photo frame or box of cookies. Your gift could be anything that is of value to the winner like an extra piece of pastry, or a chocolate, or extra glass of wine or fruit juice, or extra plate of finger food, etc. The most memorable gift would be a note written by the bride, especially for the winner. The bride should write a note after the winner is declared, so she would be able to personalize it, in which the bride could talk about her relationship and positive experiences with that person. This gift would be surprising for the person (winner) as well as for other guests. And the person/winner, who gets this note, will be overwhelmed by the love and care given by the bride and by the gift idea.

Remember even though, the bridal shower party is a gift giving party , you must arrange at least 3-4 bridal shower games to create fun and enjoyment in the party. Because bridal shower party has two purposes, first we mentioned above and the second is to spend some qualitative time with the bride as after her wedding she would be busy in her newly married life and new responsibilities. If the bride is open minded and willing to get suggestions from others, then you can tell your guests about this in advance. So, they could tell her about their personal experiences when they were newly married and how they managed coping with troubles. Guests could give some suggestions to the bride, which will help her to handle some difficult situations efficiently and take care of all responsibilities as being a wife and home maker.
